Dr. Wendy Bamford, DMD, is a compassionate and highly skilled Watkinsville dentist proudly owning and leading Mars Hill Dental, where she delivers exceptional family dentistry to our Athens, Oconee County community.
Born and raised in Georgia, Dr. Bamford is a graduate of the Dental College of Georgia, earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) and receiving a Superior Award in Pediatrics for her distinguished work in children's oral health. Before entering dentistry, she spent seven years as a school teacher and earned a master's degree in Special Education experiences that enriched her patient focused approach, emphasizing patience, understanding, and tailored care, especially for children, individuals with special needs, and families seeking stress free dental visits.
After dental school, Dr. Bamford served with the Indian Health Service in Barrow, Alaska, providing vital dental care to the native community. She fondly recalls the unique adventures and meaningful relationships built during her years there and enjoys sharing these stories with patients. Having returned to her home state of Georgia for the past seven years, she is deeply rooted in the local community and thrilled to serve families right here in Watkinsville.

Dr. Bamford resides nearby with her husband, Brad, and their two wonderful children, Emilee and Bennington. As a family, they enjoy attending Athens church, exploring the outdoors, riding bikes, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.
